Caritas Partners Meeting

Caritas Cambodia Partners Meeting Tuesay, 30 November 2011
		Staffs of Caritas Cambodia and its partner representatives have joined the Partners Meeting on November 24-26, 2011 at Caritas Cambodia office in Phnom Penh. The meeting was held to discuss about the challenges that Caritas Cambodia has been facing and some needs to improve working of the organization such as professional improvement, extra requirement.., etc.
Mr. Bishop Enrique Figaredo, Chairman of Caritas Cambodia said despite the organization’s challenges during the two decade journey on helping the poor, with strong commitment from the staffs and cooperation of NGO partners, Caritas Cambodia was able to fight against those challenges. Moreover, he said the organization has achieved more on food security and livelihoods, community health, service to prisoners, and gender promotion in local communities. From their field visits on the first day meeting, partners have shared comments on how to make sustainable funding, link media with the government and find out the resources. Participants mentioned that mutual sharing of the experience is important for both Caritas Cambodia and partner organizations to learn, share and to work together effectively. All the participants appreciated and said they have learnt a lot concerning Caritas Cambodia’s work and future plan
