Relief and Early Recovery Food Assistance to Flood-affected Households

To protect and support the livelihoods recovery of food insecure households through the rehabilitation of rural community infrastructures damaged by the floods that broke out on September 9, Caritas Cambodia together with the support from The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) planned to provide food assistances to the most vulnerable groups in the most vulnerable areas.

 

The three-monthly ration distributed in December and will be distributed in January and February which included 25 kg of rice, 5.1 kg of canned fish, 1.517 kg of vegetable oil, 6 kg of fortified blended food and 0.75 kg of sugar.Food assistance provided and will be targeted to the most 8,266 vulnerable families identified by the organization and local authority.

The distribution agreement is made between Caritas Cambodia and WFP to formalize the collaboration between the organization and WFP in the implementation of “Relief and Early Recovery Food Assistance to Flood-affected Households in Cambodia” in Siem Reap, Prey Veng, Kampong Thom and Battambang Province.
