main objective of the training on the Practical Accountants and Internal Checking and Monitoring conducted by Caritas’s Finance department from 28th- 31st December 2009. Totally 18 accountants from Caritas National and regional offices have come together for a 4-day training at Phnom Penh Caritas National office. The training is facilitated by the Assistant Director of the Finance/Administration and Finance Manager. Additionally, there is a valuable resource person, Mr. Soeung Samay, the Director of Samrith Professional Training Center and Manager-accounts from the Ministry of Commerce, has also contributed lots of fruitful inputs. Participants will gain so much knowledge and experience from the resource person so that they can strengthen their capacity and work more effectively and efficiently at their field work.

The first two days is focused on the General Introduction of Accounting, Book keeping Skill, Pragmatism, Practical Accounting for NGOs, Financial statement, Internal Checking, Internal Audit and Internal Control and Monitoring.

The rest of the other 2 days training will involve with both Caritas Regional Program Managers and accountants on new tools for supporting documents and other general problems on Accountancy.
